Clinical History highlights

I have been providing psychotherapy since 1997.  In my early years I received extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy while I practiced as a family therapist at the Chadwick Center, Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California.  I also was trained in play therapy including the use of expressive arts and sand tray.  

In 2002 I began training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy with Daniel Hughes (, and trained with Dr. Hughes in extended workshops he held in Maine and Pennsylvania, and continued with individual consultation through 2012. 

In 2007 I began training in Emotion Focused Therapy (Sue Johnson), became an ‘A’ Level practitioner in 2010, and have continued to benefit from consultation and supervision with leaders in that field.
