Clinical History highlights

I have been providing psychotherapy since 1997.  In my early years I received extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy while I practiced as a family therapist at the Chadwick Center, Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California.  I also was trained in play therapy including the use of expressive arts and sand tray.

In 2002 I began training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy with Daniel Hughes (http://www.danielhughes.org), and trained with Dr. Hughes in extended workshops he held in Maine and Pennsylvania, and continued with individual consultation through 2012.

In 2007 I began training in Emotion Focused Therapy (Sue Johnson), became an ‘A’ Level practitioner in 2010, and have continued to benefit from consultation and supervision with leaders in that field.

I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist (www.emdria.org).

I am bilingual Spanish - English.
